In the ever changing, government regulated environment of the Rural Housing Service (Rural Development) and the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), it is important to have relationships with professionals who are knowledgeable in these areas. At
The Fentress Group we are not only knowledgeable in these industries but are also very active in organizations that foster the development and management of government assisted multi-family housing programs. We are members of the Midwest Affordable Housing Management Association (MAHMA). This association is a powerful unified lobbying voice (in association with NAHMA) with HUD and provides assistance and training to its members. We are members and both partners are board members and one is treasurer of the Council for Rural Housing and Development of Ohio (CRHDO). The Council represents and lobbies for the management and development interests of Rural Development owners and management agents. We are also members of the national Council for Affordable and Rural Housing (CARH). One of the partners also serves as a board member and the other is active as a budget committee member. This organization provides lobbying efforts at the national level for development and management concerns with Rural Development programs.
We have over 19 years of experience in auditing and reporting on government assisted housing for both HUD and Rural Development. Our practice is concentrated on providing services to clients who own, manage, and develop HUD, Rural Development and Section 42 housing. We have the knowledge and expertise to ensure that the annual reporting of the required audit, review or compilation is a smooth and timely process. We also perform the necessary cost certifications and forms for both mortgagors and contractors as required by HUD and Rural Development. We pride ourselves in not only offering quality and timely products to our clients, but in also offering guidance and assistance in mastering the rules and regulations set forth by HUD and Rural Development.
